Mr. Nagovan was a fantastic teacher. He is very patient with students and was always willing to give extra help when a student needed it. He made lessons fun and engaging. Even when it was a more complex topic he was able to explain it in a way that was easily understandable for his students. Whenever I needed help with a particular topic he was eager to help teach me in a way that I would understand. Being a more hands on learner I definitely appreciated the extra help he was able to give me in class so that I could thrive in the classroom and use that knowledge. I do believe that he helped me become what I am today as an engineer because he made maths fun.

Mr. Nagovan is a fantastic educator. He brought joy and humour to every single lesson and made difficult concepts infinitely more bearable to learn. I am over 5 years out of high school and still laugh at some of the puns he would make in my pre-calculus class. He’s a wonderful human with an outstanding gift for teaching.

I had the privilege of being a student of Matt’s, and I can confidently say that he was a sensational and informative teacher. His passion for the subject matter was contagious, and he had a unique ability to explain complex concepts in a way that made them easy to understand. Thanks to his teaching, I not only excelled in the class, but also developed a genuine love for the subject.

Mr. Nagovan was easily one of my favourite teachers. He was easily approachable when asking for help and you could tell he genuinely cared about his students. I would recommend him to anyone needing tutoring!

Maths had never been my strong suit or something I was naturally “good” at but Mr. Nagovan’s gentle yet encouraging and optimistic approach to learning helped me to believe in myself and put in the work to succeed!

Mr. Nagovan has a natural ability to connect with students of all levels. This is a testament to his passion and his talent as an instructor. He is funny and approachable and easy to talk to when you have questions. Even if you’ve gone over the material a million times, if you still don’t get it, he will stick it out with you until you do.

Mr. Nagovan is the kind of maths teacher every maths-challenged student needs. He is non-judgemental, kind, and makes maths easier to understand. He is also dedicated to his students. Even when they come in for help multiple times a day, he doesn’t even flinch, he just jumps in and makes his students feel valued. He is an excellent teacher and any student would be lucky to have him!

Matt tutored me for Calculus in university almost 10 years ago and I still vividly remember his kindness and patience. Calculus was truly like a foreign language to me. Matt was able to identify the areas I was having trouble with, clarify those areas in a way that made sense to me which then made it possible for me to understand and work the rest of the problem. I would highly recommend Matt for tutoring.

Mr. Nagovan was one of my favourite teachers I ever had. He taught by focusing on the why, not the how, making the material so much easier to understand. He also is great at encouraging his students and reminding them that maths is hard, but you can do it despite it being hard.

Mr. Nagovan was my 10th grade maths teacher. I used to struggle in maths a lot, but with the help of Mr. Nagovan, I was able to pass the class with an A.

He's very patient, I mean veryyyyyy patient. He will explain the problem to you 1000 times if necessary. He is a very understanding teacher who always makes you feel comfortable in his class.

Mr. Nagovan always knew how to inject humour and make class fun. Maths was my least favourite subject, and he made his class so enjoyable that I actually looked forward to going to class. I considered maths my worst subject, but he helped me achieve all A’s in his class. He’s a fantastic teacher!

Mr. Nagovan cares about his students and teaches like no other. I was fortunate to have Mr. Nagovan as a teacher during High School. As a student who always struggled with maths, I was so intimidated by his course and began to shut down quickly. However, Mr. Nagovan created a welcoming, fun environment that made me comfortable enough to reach out for help - something I had never done before in school. With Mr. Nagovan’s additional help, I was able to achieve an A in his course, and for the first time in my life, I developed a love for maths. Mr. Nagovan will forever be one of the best teachers I have ever had; he is able to help even those who struggle the most to succeed and makes learning enjoyable.

During my first years in high school, I had a hard time with most classes because of the language barrier. However, the one class that I truly fully understood was Mr Nagovan’s Geometry class. He always found a way to make the class feel fun either with his jokes or the way he made us want to learn more. His way of explaining things varied from student to student because everyone understands things in different ways. He found a way to make me understand what he was teaching completely even with my limited English language at the time. He was always willing to help whenever I asked for a little extra help. He was always the light in the room making funny jokes to brighten up people’s days. After I passed his class, the next years I still went to him for help on my maths classes and he was always happy to help. He is the reason that I can say that I miss having maths classes. I was really lucky to have had him as a teacher.
